What is an Ultra Isolation Transformer?

An Ultra Isolation Transformer is a specialized double-wound transformer featuring electrostatic shielding and extremely low coupling capacitance between the primary and secondary windings. Unlike standard transformers, it completely decouples connected equipment from electrical utility line spikes, high-frequency transients, and ground noise. By establishing a clean, independent self-generated neutral point, it eliminates voltage differences between earth and neutral, protecting delicate microprocessor controls, telemetry instrumentation, and critical medical systems against catastrophic electronic breakdown.

Applications

Medical & Healthcare
Electrical isolation for patient telemetry, MRI, CT scanners, and ICU monitors.
Microprocessor & IT Systems
Clean power protection for sensitive server racks, PLC panels, and data centers.
CNC & Automation
Decoupling line noise for high-precision CNC controllers and robotic drives.
Analytical Laboratories
Ultra-stable power for spectrometers, chromatographs, and diagnostic equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an isolation transformer used for?
An isolation transformer decouples the powered equipment from the utility line source, eliminating electrical noise spikes, neutral-earth potential differences, and protecting sensitive electronics against damage.
How does an Ultra Isolation Transformer differ from a standard transformer?
Ultra Isolation Transformers feature specialized electrostatic shielding between double-wound coils to reduce inter-winding capacitance, achieving common-mode noise rejection exceeding 100 dB.
Can the transformer be supplied in single phase or three phase?
Yes. We manufacture both single phase (1 kVA to 30 kVA) and three phase (3 kVA to 500 kVA+) Ultra Isolation Transformers in Air Cooled or Oil Cooled configurations.
